New Movie Tuesday

Here are the DVD releases for next Tuesday, 31 March 2015:

3 Nights in the Desert
What could have been? What might have been? Reunions can be exciting, frustrating, exhilarating, nostalgic, a life given over to practicality while another chases lost dreams. Set against the majestic landscape of the desert, three estranged friends and former bandmates 'celebrate' turning 30, carrying their hopes and unresolved wounds, their intertwined romantic baggage, in this funny and poignant look at lost loves, forgotten dreams and missed opportunity.
Building Wonders
In Building Wonders, Nova presents three groundbreaking shows that investigate engineering mysteries of the ancient world with the help of dramatic hands-on experiments. Modern architects use medieval tools to examine the Lost City of Petra in the middle of Jordan's desert, the vast Roman Coliseum, and Turkey's 1,500 year-old cathedral dome, Hagia Sophia.

The Circle
Zurich: 1958. A bashful teacher and a German cabaret artist get to know one another in the Swiss underground organization called 'Der Kreis.' As the two dissimilar men defend their love, they witness the heyday and decline of this Europe-wide pioneering organization for gay emancipation.
Conducting Hope
A documentary about the one and only men's prison choir to ever perform outside the prison walls, the East Hills Singers.
Cyber Seniors
A humorous and heartwarming story focusing on a group of senior citizens who take their first steps into cyber-space under the tutelage of teenage mentors, the film expertly renders a thought-provoking look at a spirited group of men and women who are enriched by digitally re-connecting with their families and each other. Finding their footing rather quickly, the group moves on to compete for the most YouTube views while swiftly building their online inventory of friends.
Imitation Game
During the winter of 1952, British authorities entered the home of mathematician, cryptanalyst and war hero Alan Turing to investigate a reported burglary. They instead ended up arresting Turing himself on charges of 'gross indecency', an accusation that would lead to his devastating conviction for the criminal offense of homosexuality. Little did officials know, they were actually incriminating the pioneer of modern-day computing.
Interstellar
With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.
Language Matters with Bob Hollman
A two hour documentary that asks: What do we lose when a language dies? What does it take to save a language? It is filmed around the world: on a remote island off the coast of Australia, where 400 Aboriginal people speak ten different languages, all at risk; in Wales, where Welsh, once in danger, is today making a comeback; and in Hawaii, where a group of Hawaiian activists are fighting to save their native tongue.
Out of the Dark
A couple and their daughter moves to Colombia to take over a family business, only to realize their new home is haunted by children whose death was caused by a horrible accident over twenty years ago.
Putin's Way
Frontline investigates the accusations of criminality and corruption that have surrounded Vladimir Putin's reign in Russia. Tracing his career back over two decades, Putin's Way reveals how the accumulation of wealth and power has led to autocratic rule and the specter of a new Cold War.
Silicon Valley - Season 1
In the high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. A comedy partially inspired by Mike Judge's own experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the late 1980s.
Veep - The Complete Third Season
Season three begins with Selina, eying a promotion, courting Iowa caucus voters at a signing for her new book, 'Some New Beginnings.' Soon, Selina and her staff, are back in D.C. for Mike's wedding, learn that Secretary of Defense Maddox is resigning; setting Selina up for a possible run in the presidential primaries against Maddox and her nemesis, war-vet Danny Chung.
Wild
A chronicle of one woman's 1,100-mile solo hike undertaken as a way to recover from a recent catastrophe.
Wild Card
A bodyguard goes after the sadistic thug who beat his friend, only to find that the object of his wrath is the son of a powerful mob boss.

New Movie Tuesday

Here are the DVD releases for next Tuesday, 24 March 2015:

1913: Seeds of Conflict
It examines a critical yet overlooked moment of transformation in Palestine, long before the Balfour Declaration and British Mandate period usually considered the matchstick for today's ongoing struggles. It was a time when identities were fluid and few Arabs or Jews living there could imagine the conflict that would engulf their region for the next century.
Fast 'n' Loud: Most Furious
At the Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, Texas, they build 'em fast and loud. Searching the far-flung corners of Texas and beyond, motor mastermind Richard Rawlings and mechanical prodigy Aaron Kaufman resurrect forgotten relics in hopes of turning rust buckets into buckets of gold.
Gunned Down
Frontline investigates how the NRA uses its unrivaled political power to stop gun regulation in America. With firsthand accounts of school killings in Newtown and Columbine, and the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Gunned Down examines why, despite the national trauma over gun violence, Washington hasn't acted.
The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies
The epic conclusion to the adventures of Bilbo Baggins. The dragon Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women, and children of Lake-town. Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo attempts to make him see reason.
Into the Woods
A modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.
Marvel Knights - Wolverine vs Sabretooth - Reborn
These sworn foes have been locked in an endless grudge match that goes back longer than either can remember-or even imagine. The key to victory is eons old, and it's certain to rock their world. Think you've seen Marvel's fiercest go toe-to-toe before? Those were just warm-ups!
A Path Appears
A follow-up film to the critically acclaimed and critically discussed Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide and will focus on violence against women across the Americas.
Pokemon Black & White Adventures in Unova Set 2
Our heroes prepare to enjoy the next chapter of their exciting adventures as Ash decides to return home to the Kanto region, and Iris and Cilan join him for an exciting cruise through the Decolore Islands! As our heroes journey from island to island, they meet new friends, new challenges, and even new Pokemon, as well as the occasional run-in with Team Rocket. And finally, a visit to Pallet Town to see family and friends shows just how enduring Ash's dreams really are!
Sinkholes - Buried Alive
Sinkholes have swallowed highways, apartment buildings, horses, camels, and even golfers with monster-size holes cracking the earth from Siberia to Louisiana. Filled with compelling eyewitness video of dramatic collapses, and following scientists as they explore the underlying forces behind these natural disasters, Nova travels the globe to investigate what it's like to have your world vanish beneath your feet.
Song One
A romantic drama set against the backdrop of Brooklyn's vibrant modern-folk music scene. After Franny's musician brother Henry is injured and hospitalized in a coma following a car accident, Franny returns home after a long estrangement and begins to use his notebook as a guide to how his life has evolved in her absence.
Street Outlaws
Buckle up and hang on for this white-knuckle ride into the world of illegal street racing. On the midnight highways of America, there's a firestorm brewing as highway hustlers race for the top spot on the street.
Sunken Ship Rescue
Nova follows the epic operation to secure, raise, and salvage the Costa Concordia cruise ship, which ran aground and tragically capsized off the coast of Italy on January 13th 2012, killing 32 people. Joining a team of more than 500 divers and engineers working around the clock, they will attempt the biggest ship recovery project in history.
