Job Hunting in 2010

Saturday, January 16th from 2-5 P.M. at the Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo, Las Vegas, NV 89128

Are you still looking for that ideal job? Great, then the Rainbow Library can help. How you ask? Well the library staff will provide great tips for finding helpful resources to aid in your job search. There will also be community organizations there to present a wealth of information during this January 16th program.

The following organizations are scheduled to appear;
College of Southern Nevada – Will present information on Interviewing, as well as provide information about their Job Training programs at CSN (college of Southern Nevada).

Nevada Job Connect - Will help you answer the following questions, What are employers looking for? Are you qualified? What steps do you need to take to get your next job? It helps to have the right resources. Whether you are looking for a new job or your first job, Nevada Job Connect will point you in the right direction and find resources to help in your search.

Virtual Library (The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District) - Will show you an easy way to find helpful information, including national and local resources as well as many electronic sources that you can use free of charge.

University of Phoenix –Will provide an overview of some of the hot careers in today’s job market. They will also have useful information about the University of Phoenix resources for those wanting to change careers and go back to school.

Scott Linklater author of How to Land a Job in Las Vegas: Don't Gamble with Your CareerWill discuss his experience in looking for a job in Las Vegas and some of the pitfalls to avoid. He is a dynamic speaker with lots to offer, so you definitely do not want to miss his presentation.




We are excited to present this program once again and we hope to provide the audience with a wealth of information that will be beneficial in expanding their skills or helping them to find a new career.
